Privacy and security
Queensland Transport is committed to protecting user privacy. The Queensland Government has established a privacy regime for the Queensland public sector based on 11 Information Privacy Principles. These are contained in Information Standard 42 - Information Privacy to which agencies are required to adhere. In compliance with Information Standard 42, we have developed a privacy plan based on the 11 Information Privacy Principles specified in the information standard. When you visit this website, our server makes a record of your visit and logs the following information for statistical purposes only:

Personal information
Steps are taken at all stages of any transaction performed on this website to protect your personal and financial details. No financial details are stored on the Queensland Transport servers at any stage of a transaction. Once account details are sent to our financial institution they are no longer known to the Queensland Transport system. Queensland Transport uses VeriSign Secure Site Program which helps to secure all transactions. VeriSign enables information to be sent over the internet in an encrypted form, which assists in protecting against unauthorised access of your personal and financial information.
All applications on the Queensland Transport website contain a privacy statement specific to the purpose for which it is being used.

Email correspondence sent to this website will be treated as a public record and will be retained in line with relevant legislation.

Emails in which assistance is requested will be forwarded to the relevant departmental officer and/or transport service provider.
