Code of Conduct
The Code of Conduct is one way of ensuring accountability among Queensland Transport staff. The code applies to all Queensland Transport employees, regardless of employment terms or conditions, at all times (whether on duty, off duty or on leave).

Community engagement
Community engagement is an essential part of everything we do. It improves the quality of decision-making and is an important part of being responsive to customers needs.

Corporate governance
Corporate governance for Queensland Transport and Department of Main Roads is the way the two agencies are individually and cooperatively led, managed and governed at all levels to achieve joint strategic goals and operational objectives.

Export
Queensland Transport plans, coordinates and helps to provide transport services and non-road transport infrastructure in the state of Queensland.

Grants and subsidies
You or your organisation may be eligible to apply for a Queensland Transport grant and/or subsidy.

Integrated Development Assessment System
Queensland Transport is responsible for assessing development proposals that may have a significant impact on land use and transport coordination. Queensland Transport assesses these proposals using the Integrated Development Assessment System.

Queensland Transport is required to adhere to state and federal regulations and laws.

A Public Private Partnership is a risk-sharing relationship between the public and private sectors to that provides public infrastructure and services.

Service Delivery and Performance Commission review
Between December 2007 and May 2008, the Service Delivery and Performance Commission is reviewing Queensland Transport to undertake a strategic assessment of how well the department is managing its performance. The review will also identify, analyse and report on key issues that affect service delivery and performance management, as well as making practical recommendations on key areas for improvement. The public may make submissions to the commission on aspects of the department’s performance, including opportunities for improvement.

Sponsorship
Queensland Transport receives many worthy requests for sponsorship from organisations and community groups each year. Our sponsorship policy, in line with the whole-of-government framework, has specific criteria that sponsorship proposals must meet.
