
qconnect
qconnect is a Queensland Government initiative providing improved public transport services and greater connectivity and accessibility of services throughout regional, rural and remote Queensland.
Specific initiatives include:
- accessible public transport infrastructure
- accessible taxis
- Community Based Transport
- FlatFare taxi service
- Passenger Transport Infrastructure Program
- ferries
- Regional Airport Development Scheme (RADS)
- regulated and subsidised air and long distance bus routes
- secure taxi ranks including closed-circuit television (CCTV), lighting, pedestrian barriers and rank marshals and security guards to staff the ranks
- urban bus services including timetable information
- wheelchair-accessible taxis in rural and regional areas.
What it means for your local community
qconnect is working with councils and private operators to improve the integration of services; making it easier for passengers to get to their destination.
qconnect identifies the transport service or infrastructure as an initiative of the Queensland. The qconnect branding and livery are currently seen and will appear on:
- local and long-distance bus networks
- infrastructure
- wheelchair-accessible taxis
- timetables
- the regulated air service network in rural and remote Queensland.
