Queensland Road Rules legislation

The Office of the Parliamentary Counsel has the complete Queensland Road Rules (PDF**, 2.5MB) legislation available to download. Alternatively a hard copy of the legislation can be purchased from the Queensland Government Bookshop.

New road rules from 12 October 2009

Changes to the Queensland Road Rules ensure alignment with the Australian Road Rules. The changes to the Queensland Road Rules are effective as of 12 October 2009.

The new road rules strengthen the current Queensland Road Rules in light of the rising road toll and encourage all motorists to take greater responsibility for their behaviour on the road.
