Approved inspection station

An approved inspection station is an establishment such as a service station, garage or workshop where motor vehicles are inspected under the provisions of the Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995. These are located throughout Queensland and are required to be open to the public to arrange inspections during normal business hours.

The approved inspection station information sheet (PDF**, 83KB) and the frequently asked question sheet (PDF**, 76KB) has more information on this scheme. A fee (PDF**, 53KB) may be payable when you lodge an application.
