
Operator accreditation workbook
To obtain operator accreditation you must complete a training course approved by the Director-General of Queensland Transport. This is a requirement under Section 18 of the Transport Operations (Passenger Transport) Standard 2000.Operators who have not yet completed the training are issued with provisional operator accreditation. When the training is complete, the level of accreditation is upgraded to 'full'.
The Operator Accreditation Workbook is a requirement for the following categories of operator accreditation:
- urban scheduled services
- minor scheduled services
- school scheduled services—government-funded
- school scheduled services—unfunded/declared area
- school scheduled services—unfunded/non-declared area
- long-distance scheduled services
- general services—includes charter, tourist (general), tourist (off-road), accommodation transfer services, tourist transfer services, and undefined public passenger services
- motorcycle tour services
- courtesy transport services
- community transport services.
Please note: Taxi and limousine operator-accreditation applicants and holders can complete competency-based training to upgrade their accreditation to 'full'. For more information, please refer to the information bulletin or contact your local passenger transport office.
