Freight

The Department of Transport and Main Roads recognise that each mode of transport has advantages for certain freight tasks. The department aims to optimise the combination of the different modes of transport used for each task.

Heavy vehicles

We promote the safe, efficient and environmentally sustainable use of road transport infrastructure by heavy vehicles.
