Taxi Hotline
The taxi industry is an integral part of the public transport network. To provide the public with a means of giving direct feedback to government on the taxi industry, the Department of Transport and Main Roads has established the Taxi Hotline.
All complaints regarding taxi service and taxi driver behaviour are the responsibility of the relevant taxi company to investigate and resolve. A list of all taxi operators in Queensland (PDF**, 144KB) is available. The Taxi Hotline will provide people who have raised issues with a taxi company that remain unresolved or who have serious concerns about industry standards, with a way of letting the government know of their concerns.
The taxi company has the first opportunity to respond to any complaints, however the Department of Transport and Main Roads will provide assistance in resolution if issues are unresolved.
The Taxi Hotline number is 1800 183 673x or email taxi@transport.qld.gov.au.
The following documents are also available:
- Taxi Hotline — Frequently Asked Questions (PDF**, 105KB)
- Taxi Complaint Management Flowchart (PDF**, 144KB), which indicates the steps of resolution and includes taxi complaint management contact numbers.
