Medications

These are some of the more common medications that can interfere with your ability to drive safely: If you take any of these medications, please do not stop them without first consulting your doctor. Always ask your doctor or pharmacist about the effects of any medications on your driving. You have a responsibility to be aware of how medications could affect your driving.

Double check the medication labels yourself as medications that affect driving should have a warning label. If you are taking more than one medication at a time, be aware they can interact with one another and affect your driving. Always ask your doctor or pharmacist how different medications affect each other and whether this will affect your ability to drive safely.

Be aware many medications affect older people more than younger people.
