Atherton Tablelands Rail Trail Feasibility Study

The Atherton Tablelands Rail Trail Feasibility Study evaluates the economic feasibility of developing disused rail corridors as recreational 'rail trails' for walking, bicycling and/or horse riding.

Cairns Bus Priority Study

The Cairns Bus Priority Study was conducted by Queensland Transport with support from the Queensland Department of Main Roads and Cairns City Council. The study provides the agencies with a ten-year program of works to improve the efficiency of bus services. Bus priority measures along busy road corridors ensure that buses are able to bypass congestion to stay on schedule.

Cairns Integrated Public Transport Plan

The Cairns Integrated Public Transport Plan was a priority action of the Far North Queensland Regional Plan, which identified the need for convenient, reliable and effective public transport.

Gulf Savannah Integrated Regional Transport Plan

The Gulf Savannah Integrated Regional Transport Plan project was established by Queensland Transport and QR. The purpose of the study was to investigate a rail corridor that alleviates the constraints on rail operations caused by the Toowoomba and Little Liverpool Range crossings.

Integrated Transport Planning Framework

The Integrated Transport Planning Framework is a guide for transport planning in Queensland. It sets out a collaborative, consistent and sustainable approach to transport planning.

Principal Cycle Network Plan for Far North Queensland

A draft cycle network has been identified through meetings local governments and community workshops. Draft maps of the Principal Cycle Network Plan for Far North Queensland are being finalised and will be included in the draft Far North Queensland Regional Plan when it is released for public consultation.

Rail Network Strategy

The primary purpose of the Rail Network Strategy is to sustain the rail network and its continuing contribution to the government's desired transport outcomes. The strategy outlines Queensland Government priorities, such as jobs growth and the promotion of Queensland. Above all, it reinforces the importance of appropriate infrastructure development for the success of the state.

Torres Strait Transport Infrastructure Plan

The Torres Strait Transport Infrastructure Plan was undertaken by Queensland Transport in close consultation with Torres Shire Council and the Torres Strait Regional Authority. It recommends strategies for ensuring safe, efficient and sustainable access to freight and passenger transport services throughout the Torres Strait Islands and includes an implementation plan.

Townsville Port Access Impact Assessment Study

The Townsville Port Access Impact Assessment Study was undertaken by Townsville City Council, Queensland Transport, Queensland Rail, the Queensland Department of Main Roads and Townsville Port Authority. It considered the impacts of future land side access options to the Port of Townsville. It was completed in December 2000.

Townsville Thuringowa Integrated Regional Transport Plan

The Townsville Thuringowa Integrated Regional Transport Plan (the plan) is the result of collaboration between Queensland Transport, the Queensland Department of Main Roads, Townsville City Council and Thuringowa City Council. The plan is a signature project of the broader regional planning exercise which produced the Townsville–Thuringowa Strategy Plan.
