Border Integrated Transport Plan
The Border Integrated Transport Plan is a joint initiative between the New South Wales and Queensland state and local governments. It is being used to develop a framework to support the transport system to the year 2020.
Caboolture Landsborough Rail Upgrade Study
Queensland Government announces that the 17 km rail corridor between Beerburrum and Landsborough has been approved for design and construction after extensive community consultation and environmental assessment during 2005 and 2006.
Caboolture to Landsborough Rail Upgrade Study
Queensland Transport has investigated the need to upgrade the main North Coast rail line between Caboolture and Landsborough.
Caboolture to Maroochydore Corridor Study
The Caboolture to Maroochydore Corridor Study (CAMCOS) investigated the feasibility, preferred development, impacts and benefits of a new public transport corridor between Beerwah and the Sunshine Coast Airport. CAMCOS commenced in November 1996. The CAMCOS executive summary and main report represent the consultant’s findings from Stage 3 of the study and are the final documents prepared by the CAMCOS study team.
Caloundra South Rail Corridor Realignment Study
The Caloundra South Rail Corridor Realignment Study will investigate the realignment of the corridor, outlined in the origional Caboolture to Maroochydore Corridor Study.
Cycle South East was launched in 1999 and is an initiative of the integrated regional transport plan for the region. The 25-year plan maps out an integrated transport system to cope with the growing demands of the region, and includes strategies to manage the growth in car travel by promoting alternative modes of transport, such as cycling.
Integrated Transport Planning Framework
The Integrated Transport Planning Framework is a guide for transport planning in Queensland. It sets out a collaborative, consistent and sustainable approach to transport planning.
Ipswich to Springfield Public Transport Corridor Study
The Queensland Government is studying future public transport options, infrastructure and services between Ipswich and Springfield.
Caloundra City Council, Queensland Transport and Stockland undertook a landuse and transport planning workshop in May 2006 to integrate the Kawana Town Centre with the rail station.
Landsborough to Nambour Rail Corridor Study
The Landsborough to Nambour Rail Corridor Study is an early phase of the Landsborough to Nambour Rail Project. The study will include comprehensive community consultation to assist in the identification of a preferred route and an Environmental Impact Statement.
Maroochydore Station Corridor Study
Queensland Transport has been asked to undertake a corridor realignment and station location study in Maroochydore to explore the implications of the future plans of the Horton Park Golf Club to relocate.
Mount Lindesay / Beaudesert Strategic Transport Network Investigation
The Mount Lindesay / Beaudesert Strategic Transport Network Investigation will explore the transport needs for the Mt Lindesay Beaudesert region for the next 50 to 60 years. Quality transport planning will ensure that communities will have more sustainable transport options and efficient land use patterns.
Nautilus: Connecting Noosa, Nambour and Maroochydore
Nautilus is a Public Transport Corridor study on the northern part of the Sunshine Coast. The South East Queensland Infrastructure Plan 2005-2026 (SEQIP) has allocated six million dollars funding for the Nautilus study over a four year period 2005 to 2009. Queensland Transport will investigate options for public transport corridors and modes that will provide efficient infrastructure to link Noosa, Nambour and Maroochydore.
Normanby Pedestrian and Cycle Link
The Normanby Pedestrian and Cycle Link is a vital piece in the pedestrian-cycle network, joining the Brisbane CBD with the inner northerm southern and western suburbs. The link is part of a 20-year plan for a regional cycleway netowrk that commits $235 million to the construction of cycle and pedestrian infrastructure throughout south east Queensland.
Queensland Transport's Interests in Planning Schemes
Queensland Transport, as a state agency, has areas of interest in the preparation and review of planning schemes. In order to guide local governments, and other stakeholders, Queensland Transport is preparing policies clarifying Queensland Transport's Interests in Planning Schemes (QTIPS).
The primary purpose of the Rail Network Strategy is to sustain the rail network and its continuing contribution to the government's desired transport outcomes. The strategy outlines Queensland Government priorities, such as jobs growth and the promotion of Queensland. Above all, it reinforces the importance of appropriate infrastructure development for the success of the state.
Robina to Tugun Rail Impact Assessment Study
In March 2000, Queensland Transport commenced the Robina to Tugun rail impact assessment study. This study is considering the environmental, social and economic impacts and benefits of a rail extension from Robina to Gold Coast Airport. Stage B of this study is now underway.
South East Queensland Infrastructure Plan and Program
The South East Queensland Infrastructure Plan and Program is the statutory regional planning strategy that guides growth and development in south east Queensland. The final plan was released by the Queensland Government and the South East Queensland Regional Organisation of Councils on 30 June 2005. The primary purpose of the plan is to provide a sustainable growth management strategy for south east Queensland to the year 2026.
South East Queensland Integrated Regional Transport Plan
This is a 25 year plan to develop and manage the transport system in a way that supports the agreed plans for accommodating the region's expected major population and employment growth.
South East Queensland Intermodal Freight Terminal Study
Queensland Transport, along with the Department of Main Roads and State Development, Trade and Innovation, the Port of Brisbane Corporation and Queensland Rail Network Access, is conducting the South East Queensland Intermodal Freight Terminals Study.
South East Queensland Principal Cycle Network Plan
The South East Queensland Principal Cycle Network Plan guides the development of the cycle network across the region by mapping existing and preferred principal cycle network routes. This plan replaces the 2003 Integrated Regional Cycle Network Plan for south east Queensland.
South East Queensland Travel Survey
Queensland Transport and the Queensland Department of Main Roads has commissioned The Urban Transport Institute and I-view Pty Ltd, to design and conduct the South East Queensland Travel Survey. A brochure has been produced which explains various features of the survey. The purpose of this survey is to collect essential information on the day-to-day travel and activities of people living in south east Queensland - how they travel, where they go, when, why and so on.
Southern Freight Rail Corridor Study
Freight movement across Queensland is expected to double by the year 2020, with the most rapid growth anticipated to be in south east Queensland. As part of the effort to plan for this growth, Queensland Transport has engaged Maunsell Australia to undertake preliminary planning and impact assessment for the Southern Freight Rail Corridor Study (previously known as the Southern Infrastructure Corridor).
Toowong Roundabout cyclist and pedestrian crossing
The Toowong Roundabout cyclist and pedestrian crossing is a cycle and pedestrian overpass over the Western Freeway near the Toowong roundabout linking Mt Coot-tha Road to the Western Freeway Bikeway.
TransLink's go card is a new paperless ticketing option being introduced across South East Queensland. Customers can travel across any zone on TransLink's bus, train and ferry services with the one card.
Released in April 2001, Transport 2007 is an action plan for meeting the transport needs of south-east Queensland for the next seven years. It is a stepping stone to ensure the region's 25-year plan (the South East Queensland Integrated Regional Transport Plan) is on track, and covers all modes of transport, infrastructure, services and policies. Transport 2007 is linked to expected transport funding and provides a realistic picture of transport investment in the region.
TravelSmart encourages the use of environmentally-friendly transport such as public transport, cycling, walking and car pooling. It supports voluntary change in the behaviour of individuals and organisations by raising awareness through campaigns and improving access to information and opportunities to use environmentally-friendly transport.

Western Brisbane Transport Network Investigation
The Western Brisbane Transport Network Investigation (WBTNI) is a critical initiative of the 2005 South East Queensland Regional Plan and South East Queensland Infrastructure Plan and Program.
