Labour and skills solutions for transport and logistics

Queensland Transport's industry capability initiative aims to develop and maintain sustainable, workable solutions across a variety of modes (road, rail, sea and air) throughout the state. The department works with industry to address the current and projected skills and labour shortages in the state's transport and logistics industry.

TransLink go card

TransLink's go card is a new paperless ticketing option being introduced across south east Queensland. Customers can travel across any zone on TransLink's bus, train and ferry services with the one card.

Integrated Development Assessment System

In September 2005, Queensland Transport became a concurrence agency under the Integrated Planning Act 1997 (IPA). As a concurrence agency Queensland Transport is able to assess and condition particular development applications using the Integrated Development Assessment System (IDAS).

TravelSmart

TravelSmart encourages the use of environmentally-friendly transport such as public transport, cycling, walking and car pooling. It supports voluntary change in the behaviour of individuals and organisations by raising awareness through campaigns, and improving access to information and opportunities to use environmentally-friendly transport.
