Integrated Development Assessment SystemIn September 2005, the Department of Transport and Main Roads (formerly Queensland Transport) became a concurrence agency under the Integrated Planning Act 1997 (IPA). As a concurrence agency the Department of Transport and Main Roads is able to assess and condition particular development applications using the Integrated Development Assessment System (IDAS).

Transport and Logistics Capability Program
Department of Transport and Main Roads' Transport and Logistics Capability program aims to develop and maintain sustainable, workable solutions across Queensland's transport and logistics industry (road, rail, sea, air and reverse logistics — across people and freight functions) . The department works with the transport and logistics industry to address the skills and labour agenda
across the state.
TravelSmart encourages the use of environmentally-friendly transport such as public transport, cycling, walking and car pooling. It supports voluntary change in the behaviour of individuals and organisations by raising awareness through campaigns, and improving access to information and opportunities to use environmentally-friendly transport.
