
Aviation
Queensland Transport has the following air transport responsibilities:- administering the regulated air services network throughout western and northern Queensland
- providing advice on aviation policy and planning issues both to the government and the public
- revising current aviation policy and legislation where relevant
- reviewing master plans for airports within Queensland
- participating in, and providing aviation and airport advice to, regional planning forums
- administering the state's Regional Airport Development Scheme (RADS)
- coordinating, convening or attending aviation reference groups, committees or workshops as required
- representing the state on the Federal Standing Committee on Transport's (SCOT) Aviation Working Group (AWG).
