Anti–drink driving

Drink driving continues to be one of the major killers on Queensland's roads—contributing to 105 fatalities in just one year (1 July 2006 to 30 June 2007).

Queensland Transport's public education campaigns support police random breath tests, particularly during holiday periods and long weekends when statistics show a higher proportion of crashes.

The current anti–drink driving campaign has the key message 'Drink drive. You lose'. The campaign was produced in 2007 and includes television, radio, bus shelter and convenience advertising (such as posters in bathrooms at pubs and clubs).
