Motorbike safety consultation paper

Motorbike safety is a significant road safety issue in Queensland. Queensland Transport is committed to improving the safety of motorbike riders on Queensland's roads.

A recent review of motorbike safety in Queensland examined ways to improve the licensing system, public education campaigns and road conditions to create a safer environment for motorbike riders.

The Motorbike safety in Queensland—Consultation Paper (PDF**, 344KB) has been developed to stimulate discussion and gain public opinion on motorbike safety. The result of the consultation will be used to develop a Motorbike Safety Strategy for the future.

Motorbike riders, trainers, motoring and community groups are invited to have their say about proposed motorbike safety initiatives and make suggestions.

Submissions can be made by completing the online feedback form.
